Ronald G. Minnich
American software engineer and old-time Unix hacker. Has long been associated with Open Source firmware. Founded the LinuxBIOS project in 1999 (renamed coreboot in 2008) to provide fast and flexible Open Source EFI firmware for multiple platforms. Worked for the Cluster Research Lab in the Advanced Computing Laboratory at Los Alamos National Laboratory, doing research in the areas of distributed and cluster computing and high performance networks. Also contributed to Plan 9 and has been involved in many open source projects, such as Akaros. Currently works at Google
