David Wheeler

British computer scientist at the University of Cambridge. Born in Birmingham and gained a scholarship at Trinity College to read the Cambridge Mathematical Tripos, graduating in 1948. Completed the world’s first Ph.D. in computer science in 1951.

Another level of indirection

Any problem in computer science can be solved with another level of indirection… but that usually will create another problem.
